About Roughy,
Roughy is a Robo mechanic, who is working for Rocket Industries, the company of Billy’s brother. Before Roughy got stranded on Earth, he was travelling through space by himself for ages literally (he does look much younger than he actually is). Therefore being with the bunch around Billy makes him feel like having a family again after a long time, maybe even for the first time. He becomes some kind of father figure not only for Billy but for the whole bunch. He helps Billy to train and develop his abilities. But he carries a dark secret with him, about which nobody ever must find out.
